Estello Inside the New York Botanical Garden
A trip to the wonderful New York Botanical Gardens was made possible by Myrna Alvarez, a friend of Estello's photographer. Myrna suggested the trip and kindly provided train information and was an excellent hostess and guide.
If you live in New York, a trip to NYBG while they have their Alhambra exhibition is highly recommended. The air is scented with the herbs, flowers and plants of the medieval style Spanish garden. It truly transports you by scent alone. It's like traveling to Europe without leaving North America.
Estello also took some time to play in the cactus gardens.
Watch out Estello! Those things are pokey!
Estello wanted to climb on these but his photographer wouldn't let him. She also took lots of other shots at the NYBG but you'll have to tune back in later to check them out. The digital ones will be up soon, but the film shots will have to wait until they get back to Japan and have them developed and printed at National Photo.

Estello at New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx.
From Grand Central Station, we took a commuter train from track 32 to the New York Botanical Garden.
Next up will be photos at the garden. Stay tuned!

Estello at Grand Central Station
Today Estello travelled to many places in New York City. He started off at Grand Central Station, toured the New York Botanical Gardens in the Bronx courtesy of his friend Myrna, took a break at the Public Library, hung out and ate ice cream at Bryant Park and then went for a hot dog at Coney Island. Of course, Estello met lots of new people, too. Rumor has it that his photographer is a bit tired from carrying all the photography equipment.
Today's post just shows pictures from Grand Central Station. Estello's photographer vows that tomorrow is going to be just for relaxing but he is trying to convince her to ride the Circle Line cruise for one last New York adventure before heading back to Calgary and then Tokyo.
Enjoy the photos!

Estello Takes Manhattan!
The little clay star is currently running around Manhattan, eating food, posing for pictures and meeting new people.
Perhaps his most scary moment was when he met the very nice police officers near Times Square. He thought for sure that he might end up wearing some handcuffs. They assured him that wasn't going to happen and we went on our way.
He enjoyed beer and nachos at a great place called The Brewery. His photographer enjoyed a hamburger. Estello had a few issues with how to eat the nachos. He was determined to use a fork.

Estello continued to make friends with the pretzel guy and posing in Times Square.
Stay tuned for more Estello in Manhattan updates!

Rumor Has It...
Rumor has it that my photographer has finally bought the clay for my plastic surgery! This means I should have a new revamped body by Saturday!
I can only hope so. I have so much dirt ground into my plastercine that I can't move without sounding like a sandbox.
